Man is it crappy out!!! With a capital C!!!
Tried to go to the Disney Store to get park tickets, yeah right. As soon as I got on the highway there was an accident. Then 2 more before I could get off at the next exit to turn around.
Man people get stupid when the white stuff flies.

Needless to say I stayed off the highway. So I'm S^@"ed in, DH is heading home in about an hour. It will probably take him 3-4 hours to get home.
I guess we will decorate the tree.

I'll post pics for all you southerners and West coasters out there.

We have rain...which makes the kids sing that !@#$%^ song..."Umbrella-ella-ella-ella-eh-eh-eh..."

Glad the crazies didn't get you before you got back home safely! Hope DH has a safe trip home! You packed yet?

I am SOO glad you are home safe and sound.

Hope the drive is not treacherous for your DH.

Would love to see some white pictures.

Sorry.. we just have rain... Tell DH to rebook the flights for tonight!

Good thing you got back home.... stay safe and warm..the kids home from school???

Wanna got to DS7's Christmas concert? I'll bring you via speakphone...now if I'm laughing, it's not at you...they have 125 first graders dancing...and they haven't been allowed to tell the parents what they are dancing too..it's a surprise.. (good thing music teacher is older, she isn't hip on the new moves!)

Hugs!!!

I heard about that "stuff". I called my Papa and read him the riot act about even thinking about going out before Dad gets there to shovel/salt.

So glad you got home ok.

Please post some pics its 70° here right now. I refuse to turn the air on at home in Dec. DH says I can pull the pregnancy card and we'll do it but I secretly think its because he's been hot. LOL of course we don't get home till after dark so open the windows and its tolerable.

Nope we aren't packed yet. I'm wrapping up my swap stuff, getting the tree out of the garage (smart me put it in there before this storm hit), and at least get some lights on it.

Then I'm going down the list. The boys are home today, much to my dismay. I even got the to school on time, the one day I do that and we don't even have school. However they have started the second load of laundry for the day. Heck if they are going to be home, I'm puttin' em to work!

I'll go run outside now and snap a few pics. It will take a few minutes to load them though. Be right back!

Jenny, push that weather our way!!! 70.. I'd love to see 70 right now!

We had 81 earlier this week. I think we are cooling down for the weekend with a little rain and a high of 50. We are in such a drought that we need rain but I'd rather have the white stuff.

In birthing class last Sunday we all figured that there will be lots of white stuff when we go into labor. LOL so look for some around late Jan since thats when we are all due.

Yep, that is the tendency.. storms bring the baby rush.. I worked on labor and delivery for a while after DS11 was born... Anyway, if you hear about an ice storm or such.. call and get a room closer to the hospital.. We had one lady come sleep in the waiting room because she was afraid to drive... well, we had a full house that night..and she decided to go into labor.. so we had rush her to the first available room! :)

Our teacher was saying the same thing. From my house its mostly interstate to get to the hospital and that gets cleared first so that wouldn't be too bad just head out at the first sign instead of waiting like they told us too. Some of the people in my class are over 1hr away from the hospital so they have more to worry about.

Listen to her!!! Believe me.. there were nights I was on call... call in @ 11PM nothing happening...than they would call me at 1AM saying HELP!! Come quick! OH, yeah, it's sn**in', ice...and I lived in town... it still took a while to get in....

No white stuff here in north England but we did have total coverage of frost (is that a banned word too) here this morning. Took Scott an age just to get the car drivable this morning there was so much on the windscreen.

The road outside our place is an ice rink on days like this, worst thing is that they've put these massive great dirt filled pots out on the road as speed traps to make everyone slow down. That's fine on a normal day but add ice and a slope and it aint so good. Scott almost had an accident this morning as a silly woman was driving regular speed, skidded across the road to try and avoid hitting one of these things, bounced off the kerb and almost hit him.

Tons-o-ice here. No sn** yet. We did have an early dismissal from school today though. But, my DD threw up, so now I have a 4 year old who doesn't want to sit still and my DS is home from school and totally bored. Lovely...

Looking down my road, normally 15,000 cars a day are on this road. Now there is hardly anyone, and I could walk faster than they can drive.

stone wall across the street. Isn't it purty?

Mom's house, cause mine is white so it's invisible. LOL

Better pic of mom's.

we have about 9 more hours to go. Supposedly it's going to start clearing out at midnight. We'll see.......

I will take a guess that there will be no school tomorrow either.

It's pretty!!! But than, it's in pictures so I'm not really dealing with it... I love fresh sn** fall.... especially when I don't have to be out in it...

Pretty pictures, I hope your DH made it home ok in all that.

Scott wasn't driving my car, mine is rubbish in comparison with his (and also costs half what his did!) He doesn't drive mine unless his is locked in the garage and he can't be bothered getting it out and backing it down the driveway.

Buffy - did I tell you my car managed to need a trip to the garage costing over $150 and neither of us were even in it at the time??? Boy was I mad!!!
