I LOVED it!!!

We just got back today. Me, dh, ds5, ds5, ds2 spent a week at ASMo in the Toy Story building. Our room was facing the courtyard. We woke up facing Buzz every morning....The look of awe on the kids' faces when they first saw him was priceless...worth the cost of the whole vacation...

Each day when we left they would yell up "Good morning Buzz and Woody" and each night as we came back to our room "Good night Buzz and Woody".

I'm sure we'll try other resorts when the kids are older...but this one was PERFECT!!

We had an iron, ironing board, and hair dryer in the room.. no internet access. Dh took a short drive to coronado springs to use the internet in the evenings for work.

Bus transportation was excellent...we had a car but used the bus on several days.

I can't imagine a better stay. We had a blast.

Glad you had a such a great time on your trip.
I am 55 and have stayed at several of Disney's resorts but The All Star resorts are my absolute favorite. I think the bus service is wonderful also.
I am glad everything was "perfect" and that your boys had so much fun saying Hi and Good night to Buzz and Woody!
The magic really is at the All Stars.

Glad you had such a great stay! We also loved our stay at ASMO last October. To me, every kid needs to stay at this resort at least once, and I mean big and little kids!

So nice to hear a totally positive trip report. Glad you and the kids had a great time.

ASMo is a great resort - I'm an adult and I loved it! :cool1:

Also, hello from another Buffalo girl!

I agree..the All Stars definately have more of the Magic in my opinion when it come to younger kids. Mine are 6 and 4 we just got back from POFQ but we felt it was definately lacking in the Magic category. It is a great resort for couples or older kids but for now we have learned our lesson and next year All Stars here we come.

I totally agree with the magic deal.. especially for our 3 yr old.. she can't wait to stay with the dalmations and Woody!

Now.. we loved Cornado on our honeymoon... thought is was just so so nice.. we haven't went back with her since we love staying here at the All Stars with a kid..

Enjoy Disney wherever you stay!!!!!!!!!

I really wouldn't stay anywhere BUT the All Stars if I had small kids. They're so kid-friendly and the colors and the music, it's just like the ultimate playground for a child. :)

They are so very Disney. ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo pirate: :)

I'm so excited to see a post like this..... many of the post on any of the all star reports are not always very positive.... we will be staying at all stars movies next July and I can't wait... My ds will be 4 and I'm sure he will just LOVE it!

I'm so glad you had such a great time!
My kids will be 9 & 6 when we stay there. After reading your post I can't wait!

Thanks for posting this. We are going in just a few weeks and will be staying at ASMo. I chose this hotel for my 4 yo dd and I know she won't be disappointed!

Thanks for gushing! Glad to hear such a great report about ASMo since we'll be trying it out for a couple nights in Feb. :)

Question - Did you request the Toy Story section, or is that just what you happened to get? Trying to decide whether to request a particular section (excluding the Mighty Ducks - not interested in that one). My sister and 2 nieces (9 and almost 7) will be with me.

How was the pool?

My kids and I just got back from ASMo a week ago and we loved it. I was worried because we had only stayed at POR. We loved the theming, the food court was nice too. We stayed in Dalmations, the CRO who made my ressie suggested requesting Dalmations and Toy Story bldgs on the ressie. When I got there, the CM said she had a first floor room in Mighty Ducks for me. I asked her if it might be possible to check for a 3rd floor non smoking room, preferably Dalmations, but that Mighty Ducks would be our last choice. She made a phone call and was able to get me exactly what I wanted and it was perfect. It was on the quiet non pool side, it was near the elevator and ice machine too (not that I asked for all that but it was just nice in the end). It was also cleaned and ready to check into right away at 1:30pm :)
Hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

Thanks Lizzybee! That's helpful. I'm thinking of asking for the Dalmations bldg. I think my nieces would think that is pretty cute. Is there also a Lady & the Tramp bldg., or is that a different resort?

gush all you want to..We will be there in just 19 days!
I am hoping for magic like you had....I am a kid at heart so I will love staying here.I will say Hi to BUZZ and WOODY for ya's!

I don't know of a Lady and the Tramp bldg, but there isn't one at ASMo. There are the preferred Fantasia Bldgs (not any closer than the Dalmations one I happened to be in). Straight back from there are the Herbie the Love Bug bldgs, to the left as you walk out of the main bldg are the Toy Story Bldgs. To the right as you face the Fantasia pool are the Dalmation bldgs and past the Dalmations are Mighty Ducks. I hope that kind of gives you a sense of the lay out. :wizard:

Is there a area at Asmo were there is hammocks? My friend told me they found them behind some building, but she does not know where. :teeth:

Yes, that really does help. I appreciate the details! I think I'm going to call and request either Dalmations or Herbie. I think my nieces would enjoy those the most. If we don't get it, that's OK, but it's worth a try. Thanks again!
:)

We were at ASMo a few weeks ago and loved it. I had requested the Toy Story building and upon arrival found out we were in the Mighty Ducks building. I asked if it would be possible to move to the Toy Story building, and they were able to work it out. The kids loved the Buzz Lightyear and Woody, the food court was perfect for our needs, the pool was fun, all the CMs we came into contact with were very pleasant, and the room was fine.

I think you'll have a great time!
