Looking to buy some floor standing speakers and I have identified three, basically the same cost and performance, the only difference is in appearance. Which would you buy? White, wood or black?

I would definitely say no to the black. I think it depends on what kind of decor you have as far as the other 2.

Funny you said no to the black b/c I couldn't imagine the wood matching pre-existing wood, nor the white...I figured OP probably already had a ton of black in the entertainment area so it would just blend in...

I was thinking black also as that is a common electronic color and would stand out less.

I voted black also because it’ll match everything. I still use old oak speakers I bought years ago but I repainted them black because all the other wood in my house is dark cherry now.

My first thought was black too. Are big speakers coming back in favor now? I had some like that 30+ years ago, then replaced them with small wall-mounted ones.

Black, wood to me is 1980, just being honest. That is my opinion,
White is bold, and more for a cabinet, thinking kitchen.

Where are they going in the house? They look a little large, anything slimline that you see

Depends on decor.
*White is modern, yet it will discolor over time.
*Black is universal and will go with just about anything, yet it's a dust magnet. Also stay away from wood grain black it's looks dated. If you go black make sure it's solid black.
*Wood is very farmhouse, nature, miminalist, midcentury, eclectic which is in right now. Mixing vintage and eclectic is going to be home decor for years to come due to lack of supplies & inflation. Due to this, I voted wood.

I like the wood finish, but black is more in keeping with my hifi. White is nice, but it looks out of place sadly and would fade. I kinda included it for completeness' sake. It's a tough one.

Well, I've changed my mind. For the same money, I can get some bookshelf speakers... but WAY better quality, much better name etc. Cyrus brand And coupled with some nice stands they will sit up and sing!
