Seeing as I've got a nice boost of pixie dust lately, I'm sending it all northwards
I kinda know where you're coming from, a couple of years ago my grandmother past away, she also suffered from altzheimers. I remember seeing her almost a year before she died, and she had trouble recognising me and my mother, sister, aunt and cousins. It didn't help that she was also blind, and had been for many many years. Although it is sad that shes gone, I feel, that she has gone to a better place.
Just got an update from mum - they spent the night by my grans side. She was very distressed until about 3am and then settled and is now unresponsive.
I had a really horrible night - I think everything came to a head what with my gran and the stresses of trying to find a kid friendly job and DH has been so stressed at work - poor thing had me in mega meltdown.
Anyhow we are off to see Bolt at the cinema - Dh wants to get me out the house
All my sympathies Jackie. I am so sorry for your loss. I am glad your gran was at peace at the end, and you were able to spend some time with her in her last days. All my love and support go out to you.
