Can I give my reservations to someone else?

I have made several dining reservations for my family of 5. We are part of a Grand Gathering of 18 people. They don't have the time to search the internet the way I do. Can I reserve dining in my name and give it to them? Do they check to see who shows up for the reservation?

Disney does not allow the transfer or trade of restaurant reservations. so they would have to give your name. As far as I know they can claim the reservation if they check in as you. They will not be asked for an ID. The reservations will show up in their MDX accounts if you link with them and list them as guests. If they don't show up, you will be the one charged for the no-show fee (or the full amount in the case of prepaid reservations).

We only had a few ADRs on our last trip but they checked our MBs every time. So I would put your kids in your MDE and make the reservation in their names -- when you make the ADRs, you can choose which people are attending them.

As others have noted, it is possible to do what you asked. However: where would you eat on those nights where you give away your ADR? You can only make one TS ADR for a given time frame. Why not just make ADRs in their name, using their reservation numbers? You would still be on the hook for cancellation charges, unless they also gave you their credit card numbers.
