We are staying 6 days at SOG but the first 2 or 3 days are at ASMo. I was going to buy the park tickets at SOG separately so right now I have room only reservations. You can't get the dining plan if you stay at SOG can you? It looks like it will be about 8 to 15 dollars per adult per meal at SOG for us. We get an additional 20% off I am told. I am not familuar with the dining plan though. We have ADR's for TH breakfast and already paid OOP for the Mickey's BBQ we are going to. Can someone tell me if it really would be any benifit to us to use the dining plan if I switched things around or if it is even possible. We are staying 9 to 10 days if that matters over Easter.

One thing I wanted to add was since we are paying OOP can we order 1 meal and share it? I am not sure how big the portions are. I see they have spaghetti as a take out at SOG on the kids menu. I think I am going to have DH order me that one night. I can't find anywhere on any Disney menu that is just plain spaghetti except the kids menu.

Thanks.

I'll preface this by saying that I honestly don't know for certain; however, I'm almost certain that I recently read that you couldn't get DDP with SOG. The only reason I remember reading that is because it *really* bothered me. Now, whether the information I read was correct or not, I couldn't tell you for certain.

No, sorry. Shades of Green is not operated by Disney (it is operated by the U.S. Department of Defense), and the dining plan is available only to guests of Disney-operated resorts. The restaurants at SOG do not accept dining credits.

That's ok especially since we get the 20% off our food we get there. I just thought I would make sure since we are actually doing ADRs this time. I hope we will like it at SOG. It is our first time.

Thanks.

I'm quite certain you will. Absolutely everything I've read about SOG is positive, up to and including the other guests and transportation.

the menu prices (including room service) at SOG is very inexpensive by Disney standards. So, you will probably be saving a lot of money on food just because you can eat at your resort.

Menus and prices: (have to scroll down the page to Shades of Green)
