Can I get summer ressie at HH now?

Our family just became members of DVC this week and hopefully my name will be in the computer early next week? We would like to stay in a 2 bedroom unit at the Hilton Head Resort this summer. What do you think our chances are of getting 5 days at HH if we call next week?

It won't be easy but there's always a chance. Call and ask and if it's not available, get on the waitlist.

If you are flexible it may happen. 2 bedrooms are more abundant, if you are trying for Sun-Thurs to have fewer points it will be tough. If you get a couple of nights, take them and wait list or ask for cash nights. We did July at 7 months and it was a matter of changing weeks, lukily we were flexible. Good Luck! You'll love the resort. We have been 6 times!

My brother-in-law wants to go to HH with us in Aug. I told him I would sell him my points, but to get a studio would be impossible now. Can he just pay cash for the nights he needs? Do they hold rooms for people to just pay cash?

John, you might be able to get a 2BR. It depends on the time during the summer. You also have a better chance because you are looking for a 2BR which seems to be easier to procure.

I must be loosing it - I could have sworn I read this post last night & someone (I think it was nuthut or something like that) posted that he had a studio at HH for 8/1 - & then Richyams said to be careful because of the cost of the points.

Maybe it was an other thread? Help am I going out of my mind or what?

You are not going out of your mind....... a lot of the posts were deleted. I think it was going off topic and needed to be on the rent/trade boards.
