For our next trip I was thinking about a split stay....just for fun.

I was going to do a 4 or 5 night package at a Deluxe with the dining plan and 8 days of park tickets, then do the other 4 or 3 nights....room only at a value. I know we wouldn't have the meal plan, but would our tickets still be on our cards, when we go to our room only. I just don't want to do a deluxe and the dining plan the total 8 nights.....just trying to splurge a little! I could even do the value package first, then the deluxe room only. (maybe get a discount on that)

WE have done the split stay before and I don't think that you have to match the number of nights on your park ticket to the hotel when booking a package....so it should work!!!

Your tickets will expire 14 days after 1st use. You'll still have plenty of time to use them!

As the pp said, you will be fine using your tickets during the room only stay . If I were you, I'd do the package at the value resort and then move to the deluxe (but that's just me ).
