Usually when going to a Disney park we bring a bottle of water and crystal light to flavor the water and that we can refill without going broke. In addition, both of my children 8 and 6 carry fanny packs with a couple of snacks in them. Can we do this at Universal? How stict are they? We plan on buying our meals there, but I have a hard time spending an additional $20 plus on drinks and snacks. TIA

We do the exact same thing,actually bringing in a backpack with snacks!We will be at HRH Aug.11-15th.

Keep in mind that Universal is a lot more strict with carry-on bags than Disney. They will not be able to bring fanny packs onto some rides but if someone in the group is going to hang onto them while they ride, you're good.

Yes, and if you hand them the water bottle, they will fill it up directly for you, so you don't have to mess with trying to pour the water form the cup into the bottle. Have fun!

If nobody is "hanging back", there are free lockers to use...so don't worry

I wear a fanny pack big enough to carry the kitchen sink in and have never been asked to take it off and store it in a locker yet. The only thing they've been strict on is making me push it well off to the side on Mummy so it doesn't interfere with the restraint. As long as you can push it over, you should be fine.

if you get bored with the Crystal light, there is gatorade packets and kool aid packets. I cannot drink carbonated, so I bring a variety whereever we go., i just put them in a zip lock bag.
