Can I crawl under a rock now?

I cannot believe I did this: tonight I was talking to my aunt about dog classes,etc.

I made a statement about something a dog trainer once told me. As soon as i said it, I flashed back to
When my aunt

rented a small house from a guy and his wife on their "compound". she had a dashund and her GF had a part GS who was full of meaness. On this compound there were 2 full German SHepards that were in essence guard dogs, like visitors couldnt' get out of their cars until they were called off. They actually almost got me when i was there one time because no one realized their owners had just let them out, and they saw me running to my aunt, but her GF saved me.

She had live there over a year so all the dogs were cool with each other. Something went horribly wrong, no one saw, but her dog was killed by 1 or more of the dogs.

So as soon as i said something tonight it popped into my head and she said, you know, F was killed by male dogs. I felt so bad, i just want to crawl under a rock.

I apologized and she said she knew i would never try to bring that up. Ironically, I have had 3 GS's and have one currently that she actually dog sat for me last year. but I just feel horrible.

You apologized and your aunt knows you did not mean to hurt her. It happens to all of us.

She is my only "blood"relative besides my DM and i would never say anything to hurt her let alone, plus I am a big ol animal lover.
