Can I check this?

I'm hoping there is someone on here who can help me out. I recently started using a face serum that comes in a skinny glass tube. As you use it the area holding the serum becomes smaller and smaller, so there is no extra room. Does this sound like something I can pack in my checked bag?

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I've never flown with something like this before. And I don't want to end up with a broken container.

If the container is no larger than 3.4 ounces, you can pack in your carry-on. No matter where it is packed, I would wrap a little bubble wrap around it. If packed in a carry-on, it must be placed in your quart-sized bag with other liquids.

you can have liquids in checked bags but you risk breakage

as mentioned if less that 3.4 OZ it can be in carry on in your "1 quart bag" of allowables.

If this is a prescription item I would retail the prescription labeling/packaging if not attached to the item ... in carry on OR checked 'just in case'

I'm worried about the air pressure if I check it. It isn't cheap (at least to me) so I don't want to risk it breaking. And as clutzy as I can be, I don't want it in my carry on.

There are many small-sized, plastic dispenser bottles available in stores - sometimes with travel-sized toiletries.

I use Ziplock bags for anything that might break/leak. You could always wrap paper towels around it so that it's snug in a zippered bag, too, for cushion.

Cargo holds on planes are pressurized.
