We are staying at the WL and paying for my in-laws room (they arrive two days after us). We currently have plans for that afternoon, and now they told us they might arrive earlier than originally planned. Can I check them in by myself and just have them pick up their room keys when they arrive? I would hate to change our plans (it is a surprise for DD's), but I will if I have to :( .

Any suggestions?

I check in rooms all the time for family members but the rooms are always in my name with their names as "guests." They are pretty tough for security reasons about who they allow to check in. If you aren't on the reservation, have them call reservations and put your name on as well. They will hold the room keys at the front desk for them but they will need photo ID to get them.
