Can I change my reservation through Disney??

I booked a reservation for May and I was wondering if it was possible to change my reservation if I wanted to. Im not talking about the date im talking about if I wanted to add on a person to my reservation would I be allowed???If Im not allowed and im staying at WDW can that person stay in my hotel with me and get on the Magical Express with us and just buy their own park tickets .... ? I was under the impression that you could make changes like that but i just read someone in another post saying you cant change anything when you book directly through Disney but that really doesnt make much sense because things happen all the time i figured they would allow changes like that

Give them a call. I can't imagine why they wouldn't change things for you. I never added a person to a reservation but have changed dining reservations and such theough Disney with no problem.

I have added a person to our reservation that I booked directly through Disney Travel. If you had made your reservation through a travel agent then you wouldn't be able to call and make the change, the travel agent would have to make it for you.

Just give Disney Travel a call at 407-W-DISNEY. Have your reservation number handy and they'll take care of you.

I had a solo trip planned a couple of years ago - then my husband decided he wanted to go. It was no problem adding him to the reservation and getting tickets for him. If you have more than two adults in your room, there will be additional charges though and you cannot go over the number of people allowed per room - but other than that there isn't a problem adding (or sometimes subtracting) people from a reservation.

You absolutely can make changes. Just call Disney and let them know what you need. The only limitations are the number of people that are allowed in the room (usually 4) and if you have more than 2 adults per room there will be an additional fee. Also if you are doing a package (room and tix, room, tix and dining plan) everyone in the room must be on the same plan.

The alternative you suggested is absolutely not allowed. Magical Express will not take a passenger that is not on the reservation-- coming or going. It is against rules to have anyone in your room that is not on the reservation and you can be charged or asked to leave if it is found out.

You do want to make your changes as soon as possible. Once you get within a certain date I think they may charge extra to make changes. Not completely sure on that.
