Can I cancel or reschedule my flight?

Hi everyone,
I just found out that I'm pregnant and due about a week after we were supposed to come home from our vacation. We have air tickets that we booked thru Delta. I wasn't sure if Delta would be able to work with us or not...
I was wondering if anyone else ever had to either cancel a flight or reschedule or something?
We might be able to move our trip up a bit, but I'm worried about the airfare, as it cost us a lot of money to fly out of California. Also not sure if dh can change his vacation days at work, now. Hope someone can give me hope. Thanks!

Well, congratulations on the new addition!

I would check to see if Delta has changed your flight time from when you first made your reservation.

I had been very worried about all the strike talk and was looking for a way to cancel and get my money back from Delta and when I checked my reservation they had changed our connection times and they did not suit us at all.

So I called and told them that and they cancelled our flight with a full refund. If they change the flight they have to give you something you can live with or give you a refund.

It is worth a try.

DL wil let you reschedule for $50.00 fee each person. If there is a difference in airfare up/down you will either have to pay the difference if up, or if it has gone down, they will apply that credit to the 50.00 change fee.
My sister & I wanted an extra day in WDW and I noticed the flts. had gone down by 10.00, so they charged us 40.00 each to change the flts. (flts. were orginally 237.00)
Then DL ended up changing the schedule to something that we didn't want (non-stop to connection) plus arrived later. I called and added another day on, this time with no charge. We're thrilled because now we have two extra days from our original plans.

Guess we'll have to give Delta a call and find out if we can change our flight to next year..or earlier this year, if it can be arranged.
