Can i cancel my Quick Service Dining Plan

Hi. Next week will be our firtst trip to Disney. When we booked our trip for myself and my husband and 2 small daughters we decided to go with the quick service dining plan but we are going with a large group of family and are not sure where everyone will want to eat each day. Now we're having second thoughts about the dining plan. Will it really save us money and do I have the option of cancelling now that it's so close to the time of the trip?

You have the option of cancelling the dining plan up to 72 hours prior to the trip. Since you are well within 45 days of arrival, if you're booked on a package reservation you will likely be subject to a $50 change fee (per reservation) for decreasing the cost of your package. Since you're within a week of your trip you might also be subject to an additional $15 fee for changing your package within two weeks of arrival. So you still have time to remove the plan but it may cost you $65 to do so.

If you're on a DVC reservation none of this applies. You will need to remove the dining plan from your reservation no later than 48 hours prior to arrival. No penalties.
