Can I Buy Pixie Dust?

Hi All -

I'm hoping one of you Disney experts out there would know if I could purchase some pixie dust at Disney and where can I get it?

My DH and I will be celebrating our 25th anniversary next week at Disney, and we go back on Friday night, we'll literally be getting off the plane and going directly to my son's high school football game. What possessed me to get married during football season, I'll never know, but I guess who could predict at the time that we would be raising three football playing sons!

Anyway, this game is an important one for the team to make the playoffs, and I would like to get some pixie dust to throw at them as they run out to the field. My DS will probably kill me, but hey, I'm a mom and I have rights too! Besides, they could really use the pixie dust!

Hope someone has the answer to this! Thanks to all you wonderful DIS'rs who have helped me every time!

As far as I know, you can not purchase pixie dust anywhere. When we were there in Feb, the hostess at Tony's Restuarant in MK gave us enough to fill a film canister but said it was not for sale. I wanted more for my scrapbooks.

I am interested to hear if someone knows something different.

Make some-- the pixie dust they sprinkle is often just glitter!

if you go to e-bay and search for pixie dust, you can find some. one of my mother's friends bought some for my mom several years ago. it is in a little hour glass shaped jar w/ a tinker bell tag and glod bow on it. it's glittery. very cute!

Well maybe we are talking about something different. The pixie dust that I have always known of at Disney is Mickey head confetti in mutli colors.

Sorry guys, the pixie dust isn't for sale! It's written in Tinks contract ! If you ask a cast member they may be able to give you a handful to take home, but not all locations have it! Good luck!

i'm glad its confetti we r talking about.i was just gonna say, im sure your football playing sons really wouldn't appreciate you throwing glitter at them as they come out to play.i know i would have been horrified if that happened to me at school.

Could you imagine if I threw glitter at them?!!! They would all kill me - nothing like giving the other team more reason to pancake one of our guys! I'm not sure they would even like little Mickey Heads! Maybe I should bag the whole idea and just let the priest sprinkle them with holy water - it's a catholic high school! HeHeHe!

We were told on the FMT that this was "Mickey Dust" My DH was drown in it at the beginning of the tour. He put some in a baggie and brought it home. I keep finding it all around the house, one piece at a time. Don't know where you can get any. Wonder if the craft stores carry a punch out with a Mickey Head, never saw one but you never know. They sell "Pixie Dust" at Hot Topics. It's not a Disney brand. My daughter and I were in there about 2 weeks ago and she got some. It's very, very fine. Sort of a glitter, but not. It's really cool.

This just reminded me... my daughter must have put some in a pocket last trip - for the longest time the little mickey shaped pieces would show up in my dryer!

Hot Topics is a store that's in the malls around here. I think there web address is: www.hottopic.com The store is a "goth" type store.
