Can I buy FL resident AP

at the Polynesian? We're booked at an AP rate for December. Do I need to buy them before I get there? Also, if I do order them, can I use the voucher or do I have to exchange them for the actual passes before I check in?

No, unfortuneatly they don't sell the AP's at the resorts.Only LOS and PH's,etc. You need to either get them ahead of time online or thru the Disney store or mail order or buy them directly at any of the Guest services windows at any of the 4 parks. If you have the vouchers they usually don't give you a hard time about it at check-in though. It proves you bought the AP. You still need to exchange the vouchers at Guest services for the actual AP though. And you need to have one or the other (either voucher or Actual AP ) at check-in ~ if they ask for it and you cannot produce it , they can and will change your rate back to rack rates

Our Disney Store closed so I guess I'll order them online. Any idea how long that takes?

Oh, can I get them at the Marketplace? Is there a guest services location there?

I definitely will have one or the other prior to checking in! Paying rack rate isn't an option! LOL

I'd call CRO and have them transfer you to the pass holders line to order 1(407)W-DISNEY OR 1-800-828-0228. That way, you can reference to whomever you spoke with and they can tell you how long to expect it to take for you to recieve them. We have just renewed our AP's thru the mail every year - it doesn't take all that long to recieve them via mail but since yours is the first buy and not renewal, you may want to order directly via phone.

Anyway, have you looked into the FL res. discounts at all? And/or if you have a Disney Visa card ? These give discounts on the rooms too I agree with you! I wouldn't pay rack rates if you can avoid it.

As far as getting them at DTD marketplace ~ not actually sure, if I remember correctly there is somewhere there to get them but not positive. Maybe someone else will come along and post to verify.

Where in South Florida are you located? There are a number of Disney stores in the area, so maybe there is one that would not be too far out of your way? It might even work out for you to stop off on your way to WDW...

The Disney Store in Coral Square Mall (Coral Springs) is definitely still open, and I believe that the one in Broward Mall (Plantation) is also.

Yes, this helps! We used to live in Broward County near the Coral Square Mall. Now we're in West Palm. I was just thinking about trying to call to see if it was still open. They closed the one in West Palm not long ago.

we live pretty close to the one at Coral Square. Yes, their Disney store is still open. If you are a AAA member you can purchase the vouchers there as well (for a small discount too ) which is what we do--not sure if the marketplace (DTD) guest relations is still there.

If you are staying at the POLY you can always hop on the monorail to MK and exchange them there at Guest services. --I know some years ago, the resorts allowed you the AP rate even if you didn't have your APs yet, you just had to show them at the front desk some time during your stay. The AP hotline should also be able to answer that too--407-560-7277.

It is quick and painless to get them at the guest services at Downtown disney...near the toy store. Go before you check in..it only takes minutes. The good thing then..you don't have to wait in the guest services line at the parks to purchase the passes..you can just start playing.
