I have one FD room booked. I booked this room. In this room is my mom, DH and two kids..

Can I book a second room in my name, or DH ( hoping for Room only discount). but keep all of us the BB offer ( FD, package)

Basically we need two rooms.

Are you trying to add the second room to the bounce back offer? Can't do that.

If not, you could try. I've heard it's fine most of the time, but I've also heard of people getting cancelled. If you're going to call and have the reservations connected together, they might take issue. Maybe try and out it in the persons name who isn't the less on the other reservation.

Why can you not just book a room under your mother's name?

As was pointed out, if you are trying to add another room to a previously booked bounce back offer, you can't do that. You can only book bounce backs while you are still at WDW. Or to be more exact, before midnight on the day you check out.

Why not just remove your mother's name and put yours? Who is the lead name for the BB? If it is your DH then you can just book a room for your mom in her own name. If your Mom as the lead then book a room in your own name.

I have no issue booking a second room only in my DH or Mom's name.. But they still need to be on the original reservation. This room has the Free-dining and Parks....

Stupid me was thinking back then. put everyone in the room with FD (at POR) and for my DH and I to physically sleep, book a room only (hoping for a room only discount). I think ( havint done the math) it's cheaper this way, than two FD rooms ( where you pay full price for the room)..

Ihope I am making sense.. Basically everyone needs to stay on original room ressie due to package, but need a 2nd room.

Not sure what role the "lead plays"

I am understanding my mom or DH can make own room ressie, but stay as guest in "my ressie"

As long as all the names are on the original FD ressie then, yes you can just reserve a RO and not lose the original discount. I would suggest putting it in your mothers name to cut down on any confusion.

Off topic, but has anyone done the math..

cheaper to book: FD at POR for 3 adults, 2 kids and then RO
Or split the FD room 2 adults in one and the 1 adult in the other?

this is why I am asking.

I did not make myself clear:) You will not be able to split the FD. You have to keep the FD on one room and then get a RO. Splitting it would be like making another reservation using the BB offer and you cannot do that. Hopefully this makes sense.

A person cannot be a guest in 2 different rooms at the same time.

You can't add another bounce back promotion after you have left the resort. You can however switch to a different resort. Have you given any thought to calling and seeing if AoA has a suite available under that promotion, or maybe a Fort Wilderness Cabin? Someplace that will give you more space?

I understand the bounceback window is closed. My second question on the math was more hypothetical..

So now am confused. I cannot make a second reservation under my mom or DH names? one name under 2 ressies??

Dont people book more than one room at times?

Nope. People cannot be listed on more than one room at a time. If a husband and wife have 6 kids and so need 2 rooms the wife is listed on one, the husband on the other. And the kids divided up between the rooms.
