Can I book two rooms under one name?

I am planning a December 2011 trip for myself, DH, 2 kids and both our mothers. Our mothers are going to share a room. My question is-can I book both room packages under my name when I'm ready to reserve, or does the other room have to be reserved under one of the other adults staying in it?
I will probably be booking late August or September, and it would be much easier to just book everything under my name and take care of it all myself. Has anyone here ever booked rooms in a situation like this?

The one time several years ago when we booked 2 rooms, they required an adult staying in each room to be on the ressie for that room. Not sure if that still applies, but it used to..

What the PP wrote is still correct. The reservation has to have at least one of the names of the person staying in that room on it. You can't book yourself in more than one room at a time.

Last March, I booked a room for dd (19) and her friend to share in her name and one for DH and I in my name. I was able to pay for everything, had all reservation information sent to me, and I linked our reservations. I just requested rooms near each other but we ended up getting adjoining rooms--luck of the draw on that one. It's really very easy to do.

You have to have different ppl staying in the different rooms. I just booked 3 rooms for Dec. and I had to list different ppl and select a lead person for each room. What you can do is have all of the information sent to you. Disney will allow you to use your email address for all three rooms.

You might be better off using a travel agent. While you will still have to list different ppl for each room, your travel agent will be able to collect all of the information and send it just to you so you can be in charge of everything.

I just did it this morning. changed from one room to 2. They put one adult in each room gave me two different reservation numbers and I can log in and take of every thing for both under my log in. Simple.

I booked 3 rooms (packages) in my name- all are adults except one child.
Just made final payment and its all still in my name.

Thank you for the information! As long as I can take care of all the payments and arrangements, then I will just book one of the rooms under my mother's name. I was just concerned that I would have to book and then coordinate the other booking and payments through one of our mother's, and then one would have to pay the other, etc.....It sounded like a big hassle!
It seems like it will work out OK now! Thanks to all!!!
:thumbsup2
