Can I book online myself and transfer to agent later?

Question above and specifically to dreamsunlimted and then get their OBC?

I know with WDW packages you can book and transfer.

OBC is reduced if you do that.

Why not just have them book it from the beginning.

You can but in the case of Dreams Unlimited at least your OBC will be half of what it would be if they book the cruise for you.

I was going to do this myself knowing my DU agent is probably busy today (she said she would book my Hawaii trip in the morning) but by the time she could, only 9C gty's were left ( I wanted 9b). 9b was showing when I was online only 1/2 hr earlier... I'm ok with the 9c and hopeful that once the dust settles I can change it, but if not it's ok.
TA said I can book it myself but I will get half of the OBC. $200 v $400...

My understanding is that travel agents get less commission when you do it this way. That’s why OBC are less.
