Can I book now at AAA rate and hope for Discount code later?

Just wanted to know...if I book my Disney resort for October 2007 right now at a AAA rate and next year sometime a general discount code comes out that is better, can I call CRO and get the larger discount? I believe this is the way it works, but just want to be sure! Thanks!!!

I know that if you book THRU AAA and a better general rate come out, you can get it. I had booked and was able to get the deal when the free dining code came out.

Yes, you can get the discount. The only problem is if you get in early enough to request the discount--they won't give it to you automatically. For, example if they release 10 rooms at Resort XYZ for a discount during a certain time period, and you call but are number 11 you are out of luck. It is VERY important to watch for discounts releases. Usually, there is buzz around here when codes are about to come out. When they are released call early and often.

One trick if you can't get all your days on a code is to ask about individual days. For example if your trip covers the 5th-10th of the month, the computer will say no rooms are available even though days 5-9 are available. The computer simply sees that it cannot fulfill your request of the 5th-10th, so it says no rooms are available. Many CM will not bother to check individual days because code release days are extremely busy. So, make sure you ask.
