Can I book a 2BR lock-off?

Okay, it's been awhile since I had to think about a larger group trip. AKV is my home resort. Looking to book Kidani 2BR for a bigger family trip. (Kidani for the extra bathroom.) But I really want the 2BR lock-off, not just the regular 2BR. I can't remember - is it possible to actually BOOK the lock-off, or does that fall under the whole "room request" thing?

It's a booking category and will include "lock-off" in the room category. If it doesn't include "lock-off", it's a dedicated 2-bedroom.

The lock off will not have 2 queen beds in the 2nd BR like the dedicated has. It will have a queen bed and a sofa bed. Plus the kitchenette that will take up some floor space, it's own balcony and entrance door for the main hallway.

As noted, a lock-off 2BR is a separate booking categiory. In choosing, be aware that the lock-offs tend to fill sooner than the dedicated 2BRs because the lock-offs can disappear via studio reservations. In making the choice between lock-off and dedicated, things to consider: (a) the lock-off has two entry doors to the dedicators one; (b) the lock-ff has the pull-out couch bed in addition to a queen while the dedicated has two queens (more comfortable than the pull-out couch); (c) the lock-off has a kitchenette in the second bedroom while the dedicated second bedroom has more closet space; (d) and one I consider a major difference -- the balcony of the lock-off has a wall between the studio portion and the 1BR portion of the room, while the dedicated has one long balcony for all rooms so everyone is together on the balcony regardless of which room they exit from.
