Can I book 2 AP rooms at different resorts? One for us, one for inlaws

OK, I hope this isn't too confusing. I have an room at POR at AP rate from 5/14-5/21. The inlaws want to stay offsite because they don't want to pay that much to stay at POR. AP is under DH's name, can he reserve them a room at a value resort for the same time period we will be there. I know he would have to check them in or be there when they check in. I just don't know if the AP rate could be applied if DH is not staying there. Anyone know?

We are taking my parents and we have two rooms reserved under the AP discount. Hope you are able to work it out.

Are you and your parents staying at the same resort? Do you think we could stay at POR and they stay at a value resort?

I'd like to know the answer to this also. We are planning a trip in July with family, and we may not stay at the same resort. But we'd like to reserve the rooms with our AP discount. Anyone know?
