Can I bid on a specific hotel on priceline?

We would really like to take a quick trip to Disney in Oct and I really would like to stay at the Best Western at DD. I saw on another post that people were getting rooms there for $25 a night!! I would love to get this rate but I'm not sure how to bid on priceline and make sure we get THAT hotel. I've actually never used priceline before. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Unfortunately, you can't pick the hotel you want when you bid on Price Line. You can put in the hotel rating and area you want to stay in and they assign the hotel, if you're bid is accepted. The best thing to do is read the FAQ's on their web site and get familier with how to do it. Click on Price Line and read all the information available on that board.

It sounds complicated but once you get the hang of it, it's not too bad. We've used PL for a number of years and have always been happy with whichever hotel/motel they've given us.

Once you're on their main page, you can click on Florida - Orlando/Walt Disney World. There you can get a good idea of which hotels/motels are being accepted for the rating and area you're looking for. This doesn't necessarily mean you'll get those particular places, it's just a feel for which one you might get. I go this site frequently just to see what's been coming up as winning bids.

It pays to really do your homework and the DIS boards are very helpful if you have any questions. You can ask questions on the PL board too but from what I'm hearing, sometimes, they can get kinda sarcastic with their answers.

There is NO WAY (in Orlando) to guarantee a specific hotel with PL. You might increase your chances if you can quickly match a winning bid from BFT (same days and winning price) but even then you may be surprised.

IT REALLY sound like you'd be better off not using PL.

Thank you all so much for your helpful information. I did go to the site you guys recommended this morning and read for quite a while. I then went ahead and bid $25 on a 2 1/2 star hotel (which Best Western is) but it was rejected. After thinking about it for a while I've decided that if we do take the trip I'll just pay the $50 for the Best Western at DD that is quoted on Hotel Kingdom.com. I figure it's worth the extra money to get the exact hotel we want.

I did learn so much from reading today and when we take trips other than Disney, I'll definitely use PL in the future. You can get some really awesome deals with them!
