can i bank any points from a canceled trip?

I am confused. I have to cancel a cruise. It used 622 points. Some borrowed, some banked, some from this use year. Do I have to use all of these points before this August, my YU, or can I still bank this years points to be used next year. I have been told that I have to use all of them before August, but have heard differently from some else. Can anyone clarify this for me?

The points will be put in holding and yes you will have to use them before your use year.

Actually the points will be returned to her account in "reservation status". That means that they may not be used to book a stay at a DVC resort or for an exchange through Interval International. If reservation points are not used before the end of the current use year, they expire and are no longer of any value. Since the OP has an August use year, the reservation status points would expire on 7/31/2007 if not used before then.

Reservation points may be used to book something in the Disney Collection (which includes the DCL cruises & most of the non-DVC WDW resorts) or anything in the Conceirge Collection or Adventurer's Collection.

OP - Sorry you have to cancel your cruise. Hope you can find something else to do with the points.
