Can I just ask all you 'over the pond' if you have been watching the programmes that have been done from Buckingham Palace? I beleive its some breakfast show thats being broadcast from there, are you enjoying it? and is it working from a point of view of encouraging more Americans to visit the UK?

Never heard of such a program, but sounds interesting....
I'll check my listings and give it a spin.. BBC, I suppose?

No apparently its a US breakfast show. I'll have a search on the BBC and see if I can find some more details about it!

Just had a look, apparently its 'good morning America'

Haven't heard of it, but since I'm planning my 2006 London trip as we speak, I'm definately going to see if I can find out about it! Thanks for the tip, and let us know if you find out more.

Well, a lot of us have BBC over here actually... Some perversion of it anyway; BBC America and maybe regular BBC as well...

Sounds like copywrite infringment. Lets hope Regis doesn't catch winds of this.

It is Good Morning America. I caught a few minutes before I had to leave this morning. They were putting a good light on the everything. Nothing negative at all.

Hi Snoopy  when are you coming? if you want any planning ideas come and visit us on the uk community board and we'll all try and help

Oh, it sounds like the OP means that "Good Morning America" is doing it's broadcasts from Buckingham Palace.

Sorry, I don't watch t.v. in the morning!

I have been watching, especially liked the Boys Choir today, they sounded beautiful. We are planning a trip next August, to see where my grandparents are from, gathering alot of family history and addresses. Together with the rest of my family I have learned things in the past 2 weeks that I never knew. Going to Waltham Cross, Hertfordshire. Found out My grandmother came over from there in 1906 and went to St. Josephs School. Lots of history I want my kids to learn about.

I watched this morning and loved the boys choir at St. George. They were also showing the Palace kitchen which was kind of interesting. I've always wanted to visit, maybe someday.

I watched it this morning and enjoyed it very much.

I have always wanted to go toEngland...it's just a matter of getting there, if you know what I mean?

for today and tomorrow, Good Morning America is broadcasting live from England. Today it's from Windsor Castle and tomorrow it's from Buckingham Palace.

I got to see the 1st hour and I thought it was very interesting. I love seeing the castle... I was suprised when Charlie Gibson said there were at least 200 people living in the castle at all times! That's just awesome.

Haven't been watching it; didn't know about it. I just turned it on though. The choir is about to sing.

I've been to London once and I liked it very much. I was only there for 4 days and it wasn't enough. I fully intend to go back someday.

Haven't seen the program, but I need no encouragement to go back to the UK -- all I need is $$$ ;)

Yes, I agree thats fascinating! the BBC did a series last year just on the peolple who live there and one guy was fully employed just to check on ALL the clocks every day and ensure they were keeping the right time, twice a year when its clock change day he'd start at around 3am and go through till midnight just changing all the clocks. how odd!

I caught a few minutes worth. I'm a "Royals Watcher" especially in the Diana era. I loved her. I still can't believe she is gone :sad1: Someday I would love to go to the UK.

I would love to, but I leave for work at 6am and there's just no way I could be able to watch it. I guess I should have been recording it...stupid me I haven't been. But I will say this, I would love to fly over and visit our British Cousins at some point.

Thank you so much for posting this, carolfoy--I had no idea GMA was broadcasting from England this week, and now I'll be sure to tune in. Dh, ds10 and I are looking to do a UK & Ireland tour in either '06 or '07, and this just adds to the excitement. :hyper:

I, too, loved Princess Diana, although my favorite Royal was The Golden Age's Queen Elizabeth--a woman lightyears ahead of her time!

Have a lovely day, carol & all you UK Disers! :sunny:
