We are going to be a Magic Kingdom on June 19, on the website it says the park is open from 9am -12am and it has evening magic hours. DOes this mean that it closes at 9 and Extra magic hours until 12 or close at 12 and extra magic hours until 3? Thanks for your help.

If the park hours are listed as 9am-midnight the EMH then starts at midnight.
The posted hours are for the public. EMH is exclusive to Disney resort guests and are 3 hours past closing for the evening EMH and one hour prior to posted opening time for the morning EMH.

Thanks for the help, we usually stay longer but we are going on a short babymoon beofre October when the baby comes and we will only get one day at WDW.

This means that the park closes at 3a.m. The only way you can stay until 3 a.m. is if you are staying on Disney Property. We were there Easter week and this is how it works... you have to go to a certain section of the park (there are a few of them and there will be a sign stating wristbands given out here) you go up to the cast member and present them with your room key. They then scan the key to make sure it is valid and then they give you a wristband. When you go on the rides they will ask to see your wristband. If you don't have one they will tell you that you can not get on the rides. I hope this helps.

We are going at the same time (June 17-24). MK doesn't have early magic hour (evening) that day. I just looked again before I posted. On Monday, June 19 the EMH Morning is MGM and the EMH Evening is AK. The EMH Evening for MK that week is (Sun 18, Fri 23).
