Can I add tickets to the DVC room booking and create a package?

Just purchased points this year and this is my first time to book a vacation using points. I liked the flexibility of having a vacation package, say, 2-day park tickets that can be used on any day during a one week stay. When booking DVC rooms, I didn't find the option to create a vacation this way - Is it doable at all?

No, sorry, it’s like a room-only reservation. You’ll need to buy tickets separately. The good news is that depending on how many park days you’re planning, you might be able to buy from an authorized reseller at a discount. Generally 1-2 day tickets are cheaper from Disney directly, but for more days check various resellers. Tickets are a separate purchase and thus no "package." Ticket purchases applicable to a specific DVC trip can be made after you have set up a MyDisneyExerience.com (MDE) account (if you do not already have such an account) and after you have put your room reservation number in the MDE account and added any guests for the trip to your Family and Friends section of the MDE account. You can purchase such tickets directly from Disney within your MDE account, or via a third-party vendor which tickets you can then add to your MDE account. In other words, you can buy those 2-day tickets for a trip and attach them to your reservation via MDE.

If you are looking for discount tickets, I’ve actually found www.dvcrental.com to be the lowest. Don’t think it’s well know that they sell tickets but they do and are a good deal. Even cheaper than sams club that we have done in the past.

when you buy your ticket you will have to look at the date you purchase for. A two day ticket would only be good for 4 days. So on your one week stay you couldn’t use a ticket 2nd day then 2nd to last day. The more days you buy the more days you get to use.
