Please help I am paying for my brother, his wife and my parents to go to WDW this November. We are going when there is free dining. I booked them at WLV where the max occupancy is 5. My kids and I will have an annual pass and TIW so we don't need the FD deal. We will just get a room only discount. HOWEVER, if I could I'd like to add my 11 year old daughter to their room with a 2-day pass so she can get FD (it's cheaper to do that than pay for her to eat 7 days at adult prices). But if I do that, I can't book the FP for the rest of the group because they all have to have the same nubmer of days right?? Can I add her right before we go with the 2 day pass so the others have their 7 day pass with FP or do I need to just book everyone at 2 days and roll the dice with our FP? I hope that makes sense.

P.S. I don't think we will renew the FP so it wouldn't be worth it for me to buy us all 2day passes for the FD promo.

TIA!!!

Why don't you just add her AP and save the 2-day tickets for another time?

It's all one package. So if five people are staying seven nights, you would get seven day tickets per person and seven days of FD per person. Since it's all part of one package, you cannot change the amount of days for the park ticket - not for one person nor for the whole group.

Can't you just get all 5 of them a 2 day pass and the upgrade the ones you need to later?

Thanks everyone! I am just not going to put her in the room. It's not that big of a deal and seems more trouble than it's worth.

This !

We always book the minimum ticket requirement if we use a package when going with a larger group. After check in (and first use) everyone can take their tickets and upgrade them as they see fit, some of us add days, some days and the PH option etc. The price is the same and it just takes a few minutes - we use Guest Relations inside the parks as the lines are shorter and they have AC.

So you could book 2 day base tickets for everyone, they can just upgrade them anytime after the first use and you can save your dd's 2 day and apply the cost toward her AP renewal.

OOPs forgot about (and misread your OP) re FP+ . That does change things in regard to booking with only 2 day tickets - I guess if you do the math you could determine if the savings on your dd's dining would offset the investment of a longer ticket?
