When I made ADR's for our trip I booked for 10. 4 adults, 5 kids, 1 baby. Now I have a 6th kid going with us. I am having difficulty getting Akershus and BOG breakfast moved up to 11. I'm assuming the baby will count and I will need to move the number up. If I show up with baby in tow will they turn one of us away if baby is the 11th? Also, if some of us eat elsewhere do I need to reduce the number on the ADR?

Baby will count, and must be on the ADR. There is a chance they will turn one of you away, yes.

If some of you eat elsewhere, you can leave the ADR as-is.

This exactly.

People will report both experiences; being turned away and being accommodated. I'd, honestly, try calling in to dining to see if they can help you out. However, unless it's BOG for dinner, you might try making a reservation for 1, since you seat yourself. To clarify, meaning your ten plus 1.

Thank you. I'm looking daily for a reservation for one without luck. I guess me and DH will take the baby and eat elsewhere. We've eaten there before but no one else has so we will let them experience it.

Are you all certain I won't be charged for the extra number of diners that don't show up?

Thank you. I'm just so nervous about it! Hahaha. That's a lot of people to be charged for of lots of them choose to not go.
If you know some aren't showing up you can change numbers via the MDE app. I, think, up to your reservation time, though I'm not sure. You won't be charged but it does give others a shot at eating there. ;)

I will definitely drop the number once I know I can't get the one increase in number I need. I dont want to prevent someone else getting to dine there!

First, I would keep the ADR as is, and continue to search for an ADR for 1 or 2. If. If you cannot find one, and if you and DH are really okay with taking the baby elsewhere for your meal, then I would take the chance and ask at checkin if they can accomodate the extra person. You have accepted you may not be able to dine with the rest of your group so there will be no blindside to anyone, so what have you got to lose?

I do think you may find something as you get closer though, people cancel all of the time.

Have you tried calling? I had better luck when I to forgot to include my infant niece and had to add her to the reservation. They were able to add her no problem, although it wasn't for something as in demand as BOG, and I think we went from odd numbers to even so that could have made a difference too. Still, calling is probably worth a try if you haven't yet.
