Can I Add a Dining Plan to the new Room Only Discount?

I just went in to rebook a trip for friends and am not seeing the option to add a dining plan to the room only discount offer.

Is it possible to add a dining plan to this discount or would I lose the discount? I thought Disney always tried to encourage people to purchase the DDP so was surprised when it was not showing up as an option to be selected.

You need to have park tickets to add dining plan.

I'm on the site now and neither the option to request park tickets nor DDP are there.

I book many trips for family and friends so am used to how the site normally looks and this time those options are not there.

Is anyone else finding this?

As soon as I click the 'Vacation Package' option I get nothing but errors. Disappointed!!

Click special offers. Click the offer. Click check availability. Pick your room. Click next or proceed or whatever. Choose your park tickets. Click next. Choose your DDP.

I had the same issue early this morning. I had selected the tickets, but it wouldn't offer the dining plan. I clicked around on my saved cart and it eventually brought up the dining plan option. So I was able to get the room and ticket discount with the dining plan. Keep trying! But be careful, at one point I had added the tickets twice and was freaking out about the price! Good Luck!

Thanks for your help! i kept getting the error but called Disney and was only on hold for minutes and the CM was able to add the new offer to my friend's existing reservation. 1 phone called saved them over $1,200.00!!! Bonus!

Dining plans cannot be added to room only reservations - they have to be changed to packages. Most of the time, the room discount can be applied to the package.

If you had a room only reservation already booked, you would not have been able to change it to a package online. The phone agents should know how to take care of rebooking the reservation as a package.

They were definitely having some computer issues... When I looked at it earlier, just out of curiosity to see prices of adding the dining plan, they each showed the same price! Once I clicked on it, it showed the right price, but on the screen that lists them all - they all showed the same and changed to the one I clicked on... Weirdness.

It would seem they are having a lot of computer issues lately. I will be glad when they get all the kinks worked out.
