at a character meal if we are paying OOP? it would be a traditional sit down meal not a buffet. im not a huge eater especally in disney heat so i would be ok just eating off my husband or my mothers plate

I'm trying to think of a character meal that has an ala carte menu. Most of them are buffets or family style and for these choices, you have to pay to be seated regardless of how little you eat.

For ala carte menu restaurants, my husband and I often split meals paying OOP.

Yes, you can.

You're right - I totally missed the word "character" in the question.

im thinking Akershus for the princesses or CRT?? im totally new to the character meal scene.

I'm pretty sure Akershus is at least partly buffet or family style, so you wouldn't be able to share there, and CRT is prix fixe, so no sharing there, either.

It's probably easier to point out the types of places where everyone will have to pay:

-buffets
-all you care to eat family style meals
-fixed price meals (e.g. Cinderella's Royal Table, Akershus)
-dinner shows (Hoop de Doo, the luau, Mickey's Backyard Barbecue
-the skillet entree at Whispering Canyon Cafe

You'll be able to share when ordering at a restaurant that has an ala carte menu.

I don't think there are any character meals that are ala carte (unless you count Remy at Les Chefs.)

I think this one way Disney gets full price for everyone over 2 at character meals. They are all either buffet or pre fixe requiring purchase per person otherwise no one would pay the prices for kids many who hardly eat. You are paying for the experience not the food.
