Can fur characters give 'shoutouts'?

I know you can ask face characters to give special messages, like a Happy Birthday or Congratulations for you to record to send someone, but what about non-face characters? On our next trip I'd love to record a special little video of Minnie for my friends toddler, but I don't know if I'll look like an idiot asking when Minnie can't speak.

Maybe ask Minnie to hold up a sign and take a photo?

Record Minnie signing something for the toddler which she may be able to include the toddlers name on it when signing.

They could hold a sign. They can't write "Happy Birthday." You can take a picture of her waving. She would probably wave and blow kisses for a video where you say, "Happy Birthday, Little Susie!"
