Can frogg toggs be cut?

Since so many people here are frogg togg experts, I am wondering if they can be cut into smaller sizes and still be used? Want to get one for my daughter who overheats fast but the regular size will be way too big for her. Actually thinking of cutting it into pieces and sewing it together to make a necklace....then it won't look weird on her...this a bad idea?

No, that will work. It is a a weird type of rubbery fabric. It will not fray. I cut mine into 3 long strips. I wanted us to be able to drape a strip around our necks because the original piece is too big. You can sew it together with no problem but the cut strips might be long enough to just tie.

You can definitely cut with no problem. Sewing may be an issue - as PP said, it's very rubbery.

You might want to look at the Chilly Dana rather than Chilly Towel - it's a triangle, and can be rolled into a bandana.

I bought the Dana at Walmart last weekend, look forward to trying it out at WDW. I really have a tough time with the heat.
