Having never been to Disney as an adult or stayed onsite I'm not sure if non guests can come into the resort to visit.

Also, can they ride the boat to DTD with us for reservations at Raglan Rd? I'm assuming the boat is only for guests but do they check room cards?
Or would they have to meet us at the restaurant?

TIA
Angela

Your friends might run into some trouble when they try and enter the resort. Disney gate security seems to be asking for Photo ID and room key more often than not .

I stayed at POR and no one asked for room ID to ride the boat. It might be easier to meet them at DTD and ride the boat over to POR to visit. I think you have to have a reservation to get through security. Someone else might have more info on that.

They can always park at one of the Theme Parks and take the bus to the POR resort - this way no one from security will question them

Or they can say they're meeting their friends Angela Luvhockey in room such and such for dinner, and they'll probably ask to see ID but they may give them a temporary parking pass for the resort. We've never had any trouble parking at resorts we aren't staying at, even when we stayed offsite, so it shouldn't be a problem for your friends either. We've also had my brother visit us at WL, and my in-laws visit us at BWV, and they had no problems getting into the resorts.:thumbsup2

As long as they know the name of the party they are going to visit they will be let in with no problems. They will need to show a photo ID.

Thanks everyone!
One more question answered and resolved by the great Disboards family members.

We have friends that visit us when we're there. They will have to give the name of party that they're visiting and I believe they may give you a card to place on your car like they do when you dine at a resort. Our friends have never had a problem and we do this often. Good Luck
