Can friends get room key first?

My wife and I are the DVC members. We have checked in online ahead of our visit. We do not arrive until after 7PM. Can our friends, who are on the reservation, get keys to the room and get in before we arrive?

BTW there is a 40 minute hold time for member services to ask this question. I'm thinking I'll get a faster response here.

Anyone listed on a Disney room reservation can check-in, get a key/band, access the room, obtain a parking pass, etc.

Any Adult (ages 18 +) list on the room reservation can check-in at the resort. All Disney owned and operated resorts are MagicBand only, they are not automatically issuing KTTW cards anymore. If you have linked your reservation to MDE and customized your MagicBands, you can give the others their bands so they have them when they arrive.

Well not as easy as I thought. Our friends live in FL, we live in VA. I never entered seperate addresses for them as I thought why bother? We have all four Magic Bands with us. The trip is in 2 days. SO obviously I cannot get the bands to them in time. Since I did not enter their address, their photo IDs won't match the address on the reservation. There will get new bands and then will have to go back to the front desk later if they want to use the customized ones. I learned my lesson about making reservations going forward. Wow, a lot seems to have changed since we have last been down there. No key cards anymore...really? I don't think I want to wear the band all the time.

The resort should be able to issue KTTW Cards, although there are some reports where people have been told they can't issue them. It may depend on the CM at the front desk or the manager on duty. The resort may also have extra grey MagicBands that can be issued.

I was told that they will get grey bands. When we arrive with the customized ones, then we can go to the front desk and get those swapped back.
