....even if they are not staying at the Disney resort in HH?

We are out of points, but need to head down to the area to see my nephew graduate from USMC boot camp. DDs have off that week anyway, so we thought we'd head down a cople of days early and enjoy HH. In looking for resorts with family activities, DH found a description of Disney's resort that said they had activities for "resort guests and members only." I know if you are a guest you don't have to be a member to take part. Can you take part if you are a member, but not a current guest?

I believe that the only activities you MIGHT be able to take part in are the "outside" activites, like the dolphin cruise -- the ones that are not done by the Disney recreational staff.

I think it also depends on when you are going. If you're going to be there in the high season, you probably will have less luck with any of the activities. But if you're going when the resort is not at capacity, they might make an exception. ;) You won't know until you actually call the resort to ask!

DVC does not offer day guest access. As noted, outside activities would be different in many cases but subject to availability I'm sure. This means no pool or beach access though you could access restaurants and the like at the applicable resorts.

You might want to look into whether there are any special rates at the resort. Sometimes they offer some pretty good cash deals. I think there is currently one using the Disney Visa

Yes, the Disney Visa offers an incredible rate, but it is not available for the week we will be there in April. It is the week after Easter, so I am doubting that there is even availability at HH. Last minute plans are so frustrating. Suddenly I am used to planning 11 months in advance. Who ever thought that would happen?
