Can DVC members get the dining plan?

Can people staying at DVC resorts qualify for the dining plan?

Right now it is not offered for members staying on points.

To clarify just a bit, if you are staying on points .. no.

But if you have a package thru WDW ... yes.

It would be the same as staying at the AKL or wherever ..
It is the package that makes the difference .. not the resort or membership.

Yeap, this is right. The basic problem from what I understand is the DVC computer system does not talk to the WDW computer system, so they have no way of being able tie the reservation to the free dining. Hence if you make the hotel reservation thru DVC (a points stay) you can not get it, but if you book it through WDW (paying cash) you can. We were even willing to pay for the dining plan, but it has to be "linked" to something I guess. We could not even say...buy a Magic Your Way Park Ticket and add dining to that. It is a complete bummer, like I said we would have even paid for dining plan. Member Services says they are working on something for the DVC people, but who know when it will be available.
