Can Disneyland guest relations help with WDW ticket issues?

I called Walt Disney World Guest Relations to ask them about converting paper tickets from 2002 to tickets that I can link to my MDE account. He said it had to be done in person at guest relations. I actually live in SoCal and he said they could do it at Disneyland guest relations, but I'm skeptical. Before I spend an afternoon driving over there and paying for parking - does anyone know if this is correct? I'd love to get it done before my trip to Orlando so I can get Fastpass+ done.

They are two different ticket systems. WDW tickets are completely different than DL. If there is a bar code on the back of the ticket you should be able to scan it with the MDE app. That is what I did with my old ticket
