can Disney Direct apply CAA discounts

Have not been able to find a local CAA TA that will help me out, so wondered if i plan everything on my own plan can Disney apply the same discounts that i would have from CAA? Also, i am thinking about ASMu suites and i hear there are no discounts on the suites, so i guess there would be no benefit to going through a TA if the suites are not discounted, right???

Yep

It's the same as the AAA program.
Most of the CM's know that CAA is the equivalent

No discounts on the Family Suites....we've always just booked 2 connecting rooms at AllStars or POP, and rented a fridge If you can snag a great rate, works out muuuuuuch cheaper

Why can't you find a CAA agent to help you? Why do you think your agent has to be local? I have an excellent CAA agent that I use that isn't local. We communicate VIA email, phone etc. I have 2 friends that are both travel agents, but I went with this CAA agent because she knows everything Disney. She goes many times a year herself, she is on top of discounts and codes, and also rumors. (Just in case free dining comes out, she offered to rebook etc). She also did my quote while at home and not even on the clock.

P.S. I believe that you can only book packages with CAA discount thru CAA and not Disney. You can get a CAA discount thru Disney for room only bookings.

well i am usually on the run and i do most of my contacts through emails. I have emailed different agents but it takes weeks to get anywhere! I have tried emailing 3 different locations and only one has responded. And i did ask for a disney specialist but i don't think that is what i got. Any question i asked took a week for response. I figure i may as well do it on my own.

Thats wierd mine was great at CAA. When i first called her up on the phone I only wanted a quote on a price I told her when for how long and where... she said ok putting u on hold, few mins later she popped back on to tell me she was just on hold with Disney to hold a few more. Bam back to me with prices all took total of mabey 7 mins and next day I went in and saw her and I booked.
