can dining be used if staying at swan and dolphin?

We want to stay at the dolphin but would like to use the dining package and are curious if this is possible or if you must stay at a disney owned resort?

can you book the swan and dolphin in a vacation package or are the packages for disney only hotels?

we are getting married at the swan and dolphin so we really dont want to stay at another resort but really want the dining package

The Dining Plan is only available to folks staying at Disney's resorts. The Swan and Dolphin aren't included.

you cant just purchase the dining plan and then go stay at another hotel?
That is a rip off they make you pay more to stay at there own hotel by telling you that you can only have the dining plan if you stay there.

Part of the benefit of staying at a Disney hotel. Wouldn't make sense for Disney, and it would elimintate one of the perks of being a resort guest.

Precisely. Staying at Disney resorts are not only extra-special, but also often a great value because of advantages like Magical Express and the Disney Dining Plan.
