Can cruise reservations get linked with different families?

I hope the answer to this is yes, but I'm completely clueless.

We are a group of 3 families planning a cruise for Christmas, 2005. My family (me, dh, 3 kids, 2 rooms, cat. 6 & 11), my sister's family (her, dh, dd, 1 room, cat. 6) and our parents (mom and dad. 1 room, cat. 6 or 4).

Can we make the reservation together and get it linked? (planning to book through Costco). We would like to be in the same general vincinity on the ship, but even more important, to be able to eat dinner together each night. The idea that we might have different rotations and/or times is giving me nightmares.

Any hints or insight would be appreciated. TIA!!!

We linked our reservations with SIL last year. We were not in the same area of the ship (all Cat. 11, but we had two rooms on Deck 7 and they had one room on Deck 6) but our dining was linked. Everything worked out fine.

We have three cabins full of family going, too, so we called DCL and told them we'd like to be linked and NO PROBLEM. We'll all be sitting together at dinner with the same rotation. They said we may be at adjoining tables the first night, but to just tell our server and they'll get us all together. We booked directly with DCL, though, so you might have to have your TA call to make sure you're linked.

Don't stress! DCL is VERY accomodating and you'll have a wonderful time!!:bounce:

We have 3 rooms of people (11 total) linked. When I got my docs, it showed all with main (early) dining except one that was late seating. Only problem is that this person is all of 2 years old. Can you imagine him walking into the dining room by himself & handing the maitre'd his KTTW card to show him to his table? Well, one quick phone call fixed (I hope- we are going in 2 weeks) that.

Yes, last year we had 3 rooms "linked" for dining purposes (all unrelated). And next year for the repo cruise we have 8 rooms (21 people) linked. We realize with that large of a group we won't all be at the same table for dinner, but if we're in the same section that's good enough. :)
