I started this thread to find out if Australians could get UK deals?

Thanks for everyone time in responding to the thread:)

I think you'll need a UK address (and credit card). From memory, someone did this last year but they had a UK address to put in the address line.

I've stopped looking at the UK deals...it just doesn't seem fair. :headache:

Why can't we get offered amazing deals like they do!?

I used the UK website to book a stay at Disneyland Paris Resort last year. I just entered all the usual details and then put the country as UK. There are a couple of threads on here I think. Seeing as they don't send you anything, it didn't matter.

With those discounts, even I am tempted to go and have a look.

When i contacted them earlier in the year they said you could book as long as you had a UK address for the tickets to be sent to:sad1: Which we didn't:sad1:
:thumbsup2Trying an agent would be a good idea their discounts are much better and can be combined

I sent an email to DW stating that i thought it was unfair that we Australians were not offered any of the promotions for overseas people even Canada had their own deals! :confused3
:rolleyes1 I might of also asked them how much further they would like us to be away from DW to qualify for international rates:lmao:
Guess what apart from the standard you will receive a response form us shortly i have heard not a thing from them:rotfl2:
Guess they don't really care when we all keep traveling there anyway:rotfl:

dabecs would you mind charing the UK site you are getting your price from? I am wondering if you would need to produce ID with a UK address when you arrive at WDW?

if you go to the main WDW site and on the front page right down in the left hand corner is a small pop up menu with "Select an international version" and you can choose the UK from there.

Also UK travel sites like Complete Orlando show all the UK deals

we booked the uk deals recently but mil is travelling with us who is still a UK resisident. We had to book by phone as we wanted a trundle bed in the POFQ and they said that you could only book the uk deals if at least one person was a uk resisident which was fine with us. Not sure if you need to produce id to collect the tickets this is the only thing that concerned us when we considered booking the uk deal without mil. We ended up getting 3 adults 2 kids in the POFQ with free quick dining and 14 day ultimate tickets for $4000, will probably be $3000 for us and the kids which i thought was pretty good. We choose not to upgrade as it was costing an extra 5oo pounds thought since it was only a boat ride to DTD we could go there for a couple of meals instead.
hope you get booked soon

Hi guys

We are from Brisbane normally but are living in South Africa at the moment. Almost as good as home!!

Anyway, we are going on our first ever trip to WDW in September. We too saw the fantastic UK rates and i phoned the UK line to enquire if we could book them as we are certainly "international" - the short answer is I was told a big fat NO. What sux even more is that I was born in the UK!! I just know better than to live there now :lmao:

It is very frustrating I agree - to know that you could be getting 4 more days in the parks for the same price, not to mention all the extras! I think it is pretty poor that the "international" part of the website is pretty much just the UK. Like one of the other guys mentioned, how far away do you need to be to be classified as such?? Still, take heart in the fact that the residents of the UK probably need to get away more than we do......:rolleyes1
