I did a search but Olivia's didn't seem to have its own thread, so here it is. What can you tell me about Olivia's???
We are going with our then 14 month old daughter, so kids menu is important to us also.

Thanks!
Patrick.

We at there last fall. We now own (resale) at OKW, so I'm sure we will be there more. We were there for luch and i had the cuban sandwich..very tasty and crunchy. My dad had the club sandwich and enjoyed it..pretty basic. My hubby had the pasta and they had just changed the cream sauce on it and the manager came out and asked him what he thought because they had changed the recipe. He really enjoyed it btw.
For dessert dad had the bananabread sundae...big ..dunno how he ate it all PLUS a milkshake as his dring! He said he needed his calcium...ahem.

Hubby had the key lime pie and it was amazing.
I had the chocolate cake..it was eh.
I saw someone in the restaurant getting the cheesecake and it looked WONDERFUL and huge.

The manager said they make the dessert onsite and it is obvious..they are good.
Btw, I think this is the first and only time i have EVER had a manager at a disney restaurant come out and check on how we liked the meal....it was very nice.

Other things:
At lunch it was very quiet and hardly anyone there even during a free dining time of year.
It is a cute and relaxed place...very cozy/comfy/relaxing.
Our waiter was a young guy and had a spark...he was teasing us a bit and when we played along, he just kept going. I kinda felt like i was at WCC or Prime Time, but I like that. He said he's not nearly as 'charming' if he works the morning hours for breakfast...lol.
Oh, and we had the free dining and they allowed smoothies and milkshakes as our beverage.

We really liked it. Nice out of the way place.
I'd like to try it for breakfast and dinner at some point.

I say go for it.
As far as the kid's menus go, the table service restaurants have almost identical kid's meals no matter where you go.
I got the feeling that at Olivia's, if your little one needed something a little different, they would be happy to help.

we ate there for dinner last September...was good. Also very quiet the night we were there. Didn't see the manager in the restaurant, but did have very good service.

We have eaten at Olivia's several times. The food has always been good. The last time we ate there (Dec) it was kind of slow and our server did magic tricks for my kids and brought out pics for them to color. Later he came by and announced to everyone that my oldest son was "Artist of the day" and put his coloring in a frame by the entrance. He also brought him a certificate. That made my son's day. :thumbsup2

Oh, and I am not a fan of coconut but everyone else seems to love the coconut bread that they serve. I "don't know what I am missing", apparently.

Hi Patrick,

while I cannot say anything about the kids menu, we really liked the restaurant when we had lunch there last year.
If you like, have a look at my Olivia's report here, I've also got some pictures there.

Olivia's has always been a good experience for us. The cast, at least at lunch, has been there for a while and they know the guests. Since it is the original DVC, there are many return guests for years and the cast treated eveyone well - whether they were new or returning.

The food is pretty good. We had lunch there once and a family of 5 was next to us and they had a young toddler (maybe a year old) and the cast had a good time entertaining the little guy.

To us, Olivia's is a hidden gem at WDW. Better for lunch than dinner, but good nonetheless.

I had dinner at Olivia's 2 years ago and it was fantastic! Very busy that night, but there was a torrential rain storm, so everyone at OKW was pretty much eating there instead of getting on the bus.

We had breakfast there last year on our departure day and it was even better than dinner. Eating outside on the "patio" in January was amazing!

Enjoy it!

There isn't much posted about Olivia's for a few reasons - it's at a DVC resort, not in a park; it's kind of off the beaten path; and there's no character dining.

It's still pretty good. Most folks won't take the time to go to OKW just to eat there, so it's usually easy to get seated.

Only been once during a trip at OKW and it was awesome! Their romaine wedge salad was delicious and my steak was cooked perfectly (med rare). service was good as well. :thumbsup2

Thanks everyone! I feel that I have uncovered a true gem here. I think we might go there for a lunch and a dinner!! and now i want a breakfast too!!!

We love Olivia's. As TDC Nala said, its a bit off the beaten path and one of those places you can actually get into most of the time (but I always say get an ADR to be safe because dinner in particular can get busy). Turf Club at SSR is another great place that due to its location and the fact its at a DVC resort is not busy. But that one is starting to become better known.

Back to Olivia's, we love the menu, the staff is very friendly and since many people have been coming to OKW/Olivias regularly for many years, you'll often see the staff interracting with guests who are more like old friends.

I love the bread, the key lime tart, and always get whatever seafood they have on the menu and its always excellent. They used to have mashed sweet potatoes but I just noticed on the allears menu they are gone. But the cheese grits are great and, the "Olivia's" potatoes are also good and taste just like the ones at Ohana. Dh always gets their steak and always loves it and my fil got the prime rib there for his Father's Day dinner last year and said it was some of the best prime rib he'd ever eaten (and the man loved and knew his prime rib bless his soul).

I also love it for breakfast and lunch and at both of those meals, I have always been able to walk right up and get in. I also love it that if the weather permits, they have a very nice outdoor seating area with ceiling fans to keep a breeze going.

Hi Patrick,

Kevin and John just did a review of Olivia's on a recent Podcast, so that might help you.

We ate at Olivia's for the first time last year, and it was the day we arrived. We found it to be a nice place to relax after a long day of traveling. Our waitress was very nice and professional, and we didn't feel rushed at all. We had the pasta with shrimp, which was very good.

Two small negatives. It does take some time to travel there, especially if you're coming from another resort. Also, the floors are tiled and the walls are wood, so there isn't really anything to absorb the sound. So it tends to be a little loud.

We enjoyed Olivia's enough that we are returning on our trip this November. It's a nice, relaxed sit-down meal. :thumbsup2

O{livias is one of our favorites OKW is our home resort and we start each vaction with a meal here. Staff is very kid friendly, relaxing and very tasty food.

We ate breakfast there and it was excellent...great food, great service, small little place. We tried a few times to get in for dinner (as a walk in) but they were always booked.
