Can anyone tell me about Bare Minerals make up?

I bought a starter kit right before my son was born about 6 months ago. I use it just about everyday and I am finally running out. I use the bronzer as a blush during the summer and just add a little of my regular blush mixed in during the colder months. There is a DVD that comes with the starter kit, but Ulta matched my color and showed me the basics. You can also get a travel brush that you can reload with the foundation or mineral veil for $35 at Ulta. I asked for one from the kids for Christmas. :goodvibes

I used BE in the recent past and loved it, until I realized it was way too red for my complexion. It wasn't horrific, but you could tell there was something amiss if you were near me, lol! I need really full coverage and wasn't getting it from BE, because I have hyper-pigmentation spots to cover up. I now use MAC Studio Fix compact instead and I  this.

My problem is that I have never been able to find a concealer that fully covers my problem areas. It's been such a tribulation! But try the BE for yourself, that's the best way to know. I hope you find a product you like!

ETA: I agree with the PPs who said BE is itchy. I had that problem and I didn't want to be in front of people scratching my face and rubbing all the makeup off!

I saw that some others posted about Every Day Minerals. I learned about them here on the DIS and having been using for about 18 months and really like it. You can get free samples to try. I highly recommend them.

I didn't care for it at all. I had a shiny face and didn't find it user friendly at all. I tried to love it but ended up tossing it all out, probably at least $200 worth.

another plus with EM is that they have three formulas. I use the intensive, but find it is a bit chalky I simply add one sample size of the O-glo formula in tha same color, shake it up and VIOLA! Perfect for me! EM also has a forum to share tips and such.

My dd and I don't care for it that much. I don't like the coverage as well, and it makes the little fine hairs stand out more (which I never noticed with a liquid). I started with the starter kit, but had to give away one of the foundations because the two the kit comes with are different colors, and one was too yellow for me. I did take some on my last beach vacation, but I think with my tan, it ended up looking too light and chalky. Also, it was very messy...I always had powder everywhere (especially when you have to shake the excess off the brush). There are things I like about it, like no line, but I still like liquid better.
