Can anyone share their Candlelight Processional dinner booking strategies?

I think the stress of trying to figure out how to book the CP dinner package is the one that will put me over the edge

Does anyone have an experience doing this that worked well for them? We'll have the DDP and I (along with everyone else) am hoping to be able to get it booked for Christmas Eve.

So how do you determine what time you should make your dinner reservation for in order to have plenty of time to make the performance? And what's the best strategy to stay on top of when the '08 packages are announced so that I can book asap?

And do I book a Christmas Eve ADR at 180 days as a backup and then cancel that if I get the CP package?

Is it luck or strategy that gets you what you want...it's all so nerve-wracking :scared:

Thanks to anyone who can calm me down,

Deb

So how do you determine what time you should make your dinner reservation for in order to have plenty of time to make the performance?

We've never been on Christmas Eve, but when you make your ADR, they heav certain times they recommend for different performances. For the 8:15 performance I'd want to eat 5:30 - 6:00 at the latest.

I second the advice from the pp ... we didn't go xmas eve but the day we got we ate at Coral Reef at 5PM and went to the 8:15 show. When you call to book, just ask for the earliest time available for the show time you want to go to.

Be flexible ... have your restaurant choices lined up (first, second, third, fourth, fifith, etc.) - since you are commited to the one night, restaurant flexibility will likely be needed - show time flexibility too.

Hopefully, you'll get a good CM when you can and you can say "What's available for CPP at (insert restaurant here) on Xmas Eve?" and he or shee will be able to tell you.

I know I went through about 4 different scenarios before I got our CPPs last December - it was worth it though. The line up was so long, no way was anyone without a CPP getting into the show that night. This was mid-December.

I would take whatever restaurant you can get if you really want to see the show.

We have done xmas eve:santa: in the past and it all worked out fine, Look for the information right here and you will find out when the tickets go on sale , be on the phone early with your choices and times and that should work . Even last year we changed a resturant later on and we were still able to get the time we wanted.

We booked the CP for Christmas Eve 2006 and it was no problem. We told the reservationist which show we wanted to attend and she gave us the time for dinner, which allowed plenty of time to get back to the theater.

Just make sure you call on the day they go on sale.

Enjoy!
