Hi.

I have a really painful foot problem, it's called Morton's neuroma. This is a painful stabbing pain on the underside ball of the foot between the third and fourth toe caused by an enlarged nerve. When walking, it can get really painful, and does get in the way somewhat for the usual Orlando holidays as you can imagine! :headache:

I would love to know if anyone else has this problem and could recommend some comfortable shoes. I do wear some nice Clark sandals with the straps as loose as possible, but it still hurts :(

I am male by the way ;)

Hi,
my husband has recently bought a pair of crocs Athens they are flip-flop type crocs. We go away in five weeks :woohoo: and he's wearing them around the house to get used to them. They are very comfy ( I also have a pair ) but the bit that goes in between your toes takes a bit of getting used to.

Hi, I have the very same problem. I went to see a podiartrist (not sure if spelt correct!), and he told me to stop wearing heels and shoes too narrow(the problem was worse when i did).He recommended shoes by ECOE -some are a bit frumpy but you can get some nice trainer style ones. Also you should also wear shoes that lace up to keep your foot in place and so it doesn't flop about, but if you must wear sandals, make sure they do have a strap to keep ankle in place. I also wear Diesel trainers ( they are about £80 here but you can get these half the price in USA at a shop called Journeys end in premium outlet, but believe me they were well worth the money), as they are quite wide and your feet and toes can sit flat and your toes don't scrunch together which makes that pain much sharper. I managed to walk about all day and not have to stop once to massage my feet like I normally do.

Hope this helps

Whoops! sorry just saw the bit about you being a male so I assume your problem's not caused by years of squashing feet into stilletoes!!!

I was looking at the US website for Crocs yesterday, just google crocs. And they have brought our 2 new styles for people with foot problems. Obviously I've no idea if they will be suitable for you problem but it may be worth you looking.

Crocs do a range of shoe called CrocsRx check them out at www.crocs.com they are designed to help with a few foot problems, I'm breaking in a pair of Beach Crocs which are wider than the Caymans so far they are very comfy:goodvibes
I bought mine from www.jellyegg.com they were delivered in 2 days with free p+p:goodvibes

Thanks for the help and advice everyone. I think I'll try the rx range of Crocs :)
