Looking for something besides the Stephanie Plum series that will make me laugh out loud. Any suggestions?

Olivia Joules and the Overactive Imagination. It's by the same author as Bridget Jones. I listened to it on audiobook and had to pause it because I got laughing so hard. :)

The Idiot Girls' Action-Adventure Club by Laurie Notaro.

Or just about any of her books.

Laugh out loud funny! I mean REALLY LOL!!

Celia Rivenbark....she is super funny. Bless Your Heart, Tramp: And Other Southern Endearments had me laughing until I needed a diaper.

The Pleasure of my Company by Steve Martin.Yes the actor, turns out he writes pretty good.I could'nt put it down, realy funny!:thumbsup2

Mary Janice Davidson writes some very funny books. Try her "alaska royals" 3 book series.

Twilight now that book was a joke.

Try goodreads.com thats where i find most of the things i read.

Fern Michaels - The Scoop - hard to describe but the humor is sooo Stephanie Plum :thumbsup2

I always LOL at the Shopaholic series by Sophie Kinsella.

I like Donald Westlake's books about the Dortmunder gang. Inept criminals who keep trying to get it "right'.

Dependent on your sense of humor, but almost anything written by Dave Barry makes me laugh no matter how many times I read them.

His best, in my opinion, is 'Dave Barry Slept Here'. It is a fractured look at American History written, as he puts it, so that he "can sell it to schools and become so wealthy that he can routinely give out motor yachts as tips in restaurants." Not a necessary requirement, but the more you know about US history the funnier it gets.

His powers of observation on everyday events and the twist he puts on them is nothing short of mind boggling. I honestly don't know how he comes up with some of them. Anyway, if you like a crazy, sometimes obvious spin on just about everything, I recommend anything he has written.

McCarthy's Bar by Pete McCarthy.

My DH was actually crying with laughter whilst reading this one the train, leading many other commuters to ask about the book and go out and buy it.

If you look it up on Amazon you'll get the outline ( never pass a bar with your name on it) of the author's journey around Ireland. Great, great humour.
Actually, I think I'll away and look out my copy and re read it

a walk in the woods, or anything by bill bryson.

Are You There God, It's Me Vodka had me crying tears, I laughed so hard. Not for the easily offended, though. It was written by Chelsea Handler, who is a comic with her own nightly show. It has to be the funniest book I've ever read.

The Pleasure of my Company by Steve Martin.Yes the actor, turns out he writes pretty good.I could'nt put it down, realy funny!:thumbsup2

Funny, I've been a Steve Martin fan before he was even an actor! I still remember his early SNL bit (he was a comedian).
