Hi,
We're taking our baby to Florida in October and he will be 13 months when we travel. I'm looking to buy a stroller/buggy especially for our holiday and other holidays that we take in the future and was wondering if anyone can recommend one that they've used successfully!
I'm looking for one that is easy to push, has a comfortable seat, easy to clean, reclines easily and is easy to put up and down on those Disney buses! Somewhere around the £100 mark. I'm hoping to pick one up in the january sales.
Also not sure what colour would be best, I'm thinking about possible stains from suncream and melted ice lollies and chocolate...:headache:
Any advice, as always, would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks :thumbsup2

We have been taking DD since she was nine months. We have a Silver Cross pop. I like it as it is easy to push and collapses nice and small to get on the buses.

The other advantage is that there are not many of them so when you come back and the CMs have rearranged the stroller parking it is easy to spot in the sea of McClarens!

Ours is Pink and black - again picked so it would stand out.

DD slept it in no problem even last trip at 2 1/2 yrs.

We are actually on our second one now as after 4 trips to Disney and lots of every day use it developed a squeak - and that drove me nuts so it got replaced.

They have 3 models now - I don't recommend the cheapest one - the sport - as that one has only one clip to hold it closed when folded and it doesn't feel so secure. I would get the classic if I was to buy again but I hoping DD won't need one much longer as she walks most of the time here.

we had a silver cross pop twin for our trip last month to egypt and this broke on the way out so one of my girls couldnt be strapped in, although an ok buggy i wouldnt recommend due to my one braking

I have used the maclaren tecno xt, it was an excellent buggy and fully reclined with an amazing hood/shade. Was easy to fold and pushed like a dream. It has been with us to WDW 4 times as well as used loads at home and is still in great condition. Slightly more expensive than your budget but worth it

I would also reccomend a Mclaren I have had one for all 4 of my kids! My dd is 4 and she sit fit comfortably in it for our trip last year. It is a pleasure to push!!
It is more expensive than your budget but I picked up dds second hand off ebay and its such a well made pushchair that its still going strong even after Ive used it !!

Id also reccomend buying a buggy bag for when you put the buggy in the hold it makes it nice and safe and and on teh way back we also fit a few sneaky bits in the bag with it :-)

We used a maclaren for DD when she was younger - well made and they recline.

I got mine in the mothercare sale, think it was just over £100 but that was a few years ago.

We have used a maclaren for dd and ds since 2005 and its been great, travels well and folds down easily

we also like our mclaren, is still going strong and when bubs gets a little bigger we will be using it again for regular use and when we go overseas.

Yes. Graco. Excellent. We had a Graco in the family passed along through 3 babyhoods. 3 different kids, 6 DisneyWorld/Land trips, and a whole lot of washing and it is still ticking with the 4 year old the newest "baby" in the family. They sell them at Walmart, Target, ToysRUs, BabiesRUs and online.
Well worth the money although they do run $50 US to about $600. Depends on the style.

Happy Christmas!

We took Megan when she was 5 months to Florida. We got a Maclaren Quest pushchair from kiddicare.com in the sale.

It was perfect for our trip, lightweight and reclined a long way. Megan seemed really comfortable in this and managed to fall asleep in it no problems. Folds up really easily and really compact. Ours was black and beige - we got a few splodges of suncream on it but it was easy enough to wipe off and as far as i can see it didnt leave a stain :)

There are a lot of Maclarens out there but we just put 2 bright pink luggage tags on ours which made it easy to spot :)

Thanks everyone, loads to think about. Going to take a little trip to Mothercare and try out some around the shop, see if I can get myself a bargain :thumbsup2

Pretty much every part of a maclaren's fabric removes and goes in the machine - I have even washed the hoods on my two - Techno XLR and Volo!
