We are disney veterans, but it has been a while since we have been to US and we have never been to IOA. We plan to spend 3-4 days there on our next trip and our kids will be 2 and 5. Does anyone know of a good guide book for these parks? I would love to find something like the unofficial guide to disney or the passporter that lists each attraction, descriptions, height requirements, etc.

Thanks!

I agree. Kelly Monaghan's books are the best for Universal Orlando and the surrounding areas.

I got the kelly monaghan book about 3 weeks ago and it tells you eveything you need to know. It gets my vote

Kelly Monaghan's books about Universal are really good, I had planned on going to US in 2007, (but didn't get too after all :sad2: ), but I ordered his book from amazon and really liked it. We ARE going to US this year and I definitely am ordering Kelly's book Universal Studios 2009! Actually, I think I'll go order it right now! :thumbsup2

Another vote for Kelly's book. It has been 19 years since I was at US (pre-kids) and I have never been to IOA. We have been to Disney several times and will be going over to US/IOA this year. I can't wait!! My two oldest girls (16 & 12) I think, will like it more so than Disney (not that they don't like Disney). My youngest daughter (7), doesn't really remember much about Disney as she was only 3 the last time we were there. However after reading Kelly's book, I am sure she will have loads of fun at US/IOA!!

I agree about Kelly's book. I was just rereading it (even though its the 2008 copy) to refresh myself of the different restaurants I may want to eat......though I really am trying not to overplan this trip. I really really am!

I got the two-book special! I had the 2007 version, but I had to upgrade for 2009. Since we've never been to Aquatica or Discovery Cove, it seemed like a good idea to investigate. I like these books because they are honest, but also fun. I prefer to be entertained when I read about my vacation, kind of gets me in the mood for the relax and recharge aspect :)
